In the book Black Beauty, a horse, tells the story of his life. It starts with happy memories of when he was young and was living with his mother on Farmer Grey's farm. The book helped abolish short reins (they were fashionable but were painful for the horses). 美丽的世界·高度的灵魂——读《黑骏马》有感
动物生活的世界是简单的，它们的幸福也是最容易实现的，只要有吃有喝，身体健康，再有个善待它们的主人就完美了，黑骏马就有这么一段幸福时光。
当它幸运的出生在一个和蔼可亲又十分善良的绅士家里，被尽职尽责的照料时，就注定了会有一个舒服惬意快乐的童年。
而在它遇到第二任主人，善良慈悲又富有正义感的戈登大人时，可以毫不夸张的说幸福指数爆棚了。每天，黑骏马都被马车夫约翰·曼力和詹姆斯·霍华德喂上美味可口的燕麦，皮毛被梳理的又柔软又光亮。最重要的是戈登很懂它，而且在波特维柯庄园里，它交到了新伙伴：胖乎乎的小灰马——麦瑞莱和高大的棕色母马——辣格。
如果一直这样幸运下去的话，黑骏是史上最幸福的马了。可是这个如果因为遇到W·伯爵夫人变得不太可能，无知而自以为是的W·伯爵夫人，为了追求时尚，寻找乐趣，差点毁掉了黑骏马的一生。
而尼古拉斯·斯金纳的出现，则直接让这个如果化为乌有。这个生性残暴冷酷贪婪的商人，眼里只有利益，毫不顾惜黑骏马的死活。黑骏马曾经以各种方式表现自己的不满，但都无济于事。
作为一匹马，黑骏马饱尝了人们所给予的酸甜苦辣，它既体验过与爱护自己的人分别的痛苦、与伙伴诀别的悲哀，也经历了幸福的时光、生活的艰辛，但它依然温顺友善，诚实勇敢，因为它的心里没有仇恨，它热爱人类，热爱劳动，更热爱美好的生活。动物是通灵性的，黑骏马正是如此！
真正掌控黑骏马命运的是贯穿本书的另一个主角——人，善良的，冷漠的，颓废的......在现在快速发展的社会中，一样有善良正直，光明磊落的人，也一样有为了自身利益而变得自私冷漠的人！但极少有人能让自己逃出贪婪的监狱，摆脱自身利益的枷锁！这都跟黑骏马形成了鲜明的对比。
贪婪，导致人们过度砍伐树木，从而出现土地沙漠化，引发沙尘暴，泥石流；贪婪，致使人们大量建造化工厂，从而污染环境，破坏生态环境；更因为贪婪，
人们无所不用其极！
我们不得不深思：人类缺失了什么？
在这个世界上，所有的生命都是平等的，人类怎么对待动物，动物就会怎么对待人类，就连我们人类自己也是这样，大自然更是如此！正如俗语所说“种什么因的什么果”！
善良，慈悲是我们人类必备的优秀品质，定会使我们生活的世界变得更美好，所以，让我们做有高度灵魂，关心自己，关爱他人，善待大自然的人吧！只有如此，我们的世界才会更美丽！
